Here is Savannah's 8 month update, and she is 8 ¾ months old. I will probably never be on time again. Being the Type-A personality that I am, I lived by the model "To be early is to be on time, to be on time is to be late and being late is unacceptable," but Savannah has changed everything. My wise sister-in-law gave me a card before Savannah was born that said "A new baby will change EVERYTHING. Except its own diapers." How true!! But the changes are wonderful. Savannah is crawling everywhere and trying to pull up on everything. The other day she crawled over to the book shelf in her room and totally cleared off the bottom shelf. I have some video of her crawling. I will try to post some soon. Happy Mother's Day
I had a great Mother's Day. Terence and Savannah made the day very special for me. Check out my Mother's Day present from Savannah. She decorated this plate for me at daycare. It is so precious. They dipped her little feet in pink paint and made the butterflies. When I opened the gift I could not help myself, I got all teary eyed. I was so overwhelmed with joy, being a mother is the greatest. I thank God everyday for Savannah. She is such a blessing!! I will treasure my first mother's day gift from Savannah forever. Terence did a great job too. He gave me a pair of earrings that I had wanted for a long time and we went out on a date to a nice restaurant. He even got a babysitter!Fun in the Sun
Savannah's first trip to the pool was a success. She had a lot of fun playing on the top step. She loves to slash. It will be a fun summer!! In a few weeks we will take Savannah to the beach for the first time. I hope she likes it. I will let you know how it goes. Lets hope she does not eat the sand or put it in her eyes. Wow, there is so much to worry about.
